Conflict is inevitable and conventional in our everyday life. Everyone should experience some form of conflict, either internal or external. Internal conflict associate with mix of emotions people experience which may lead to misunderstanding to certain subjects and overreacting beyond their point of view. Internal conflict leads to external conflict which involves more people and effects the surroundings. When conflict affects the surroundings, the conflict may become harder to resolve. These conflicts may include; social conflicts, family conflicts and racisms. Some conflicts begin from little things and form a cycle to further conflicts, as it becomes larger. The text, Gangland by Maureen McCarthy is a great demonstration to this type of conflict. The conflict builds up in a cycle as more problems were created. Similarly with Looking for Alibrandi by Melena Marchetta which involves many internal conflicts by Alibrandi, and seeking for answers. These 2 texts were resolved peacefully when the character made the right choice. However, not all texts have happy conclusions, such as Janie's Got a Gun by Aero Smith, which ended corruptively. Janie made the wrong choice and prefers to resolve it in a disturbing manner.
             Conflict can occur anywhere, anytime when there is a disagreement on a subject. Disagreement of accepting one another, racial and ethnical background, were the main theme in Gangland. The 'local wog squad' was not accepted in the society of Gangland because of their behavior and ethnical background. However, the society are stereotyping of this certain background, as only the few of this background are trouble makers. Kelly's father was one of them. The disagreement between Kelly and her father in chapter 2 was stereotype. "Before all the WOGS and NIPS came in with their loud cars and drugs... and their bad backs" (pg.17) Kelly was not happy of this statement because she believes that not ALL ...
