A Seprate Peace

Hate is what we have in all of us; it will always be there. There is no way of taking it out of us, it is how we were created. To hate someone with a certain athletic ability or for the death of another sibling is what we have to accept. We have to go and work hard to be a gifted athlete or we must learn to get over a death in the family. To take it out over a friend or a family member can have serious side affects. Gene caused Finny to ever go into the Olympics and Conrad tried committing suicide over his brothers’ death.

Hate is the issue between the book A Separate Peace and the movie Ordinary People. Gene, a boy from an all boy preparatory school during World War Two hated Finny.
