             A Child Called it
             Dave Pelzer has one of the most interesting lives that not many people know of. Born on 1961 in the state of California, he's life went through the most horrible incidents that many people can't even imagine happening to a person. He's life went from a good, healthy living boy to a sick, abused childhood life. There are times in the book that will make you sick to your stomach. Reading about this child's life can make you thank God for giving you the life you are in.
             Dave Pelzer's young life was rated one of the top three recorded child abuse cases in the history of California. This book describes how he kept spearing his life from death through out the ages of four to twelve. Dave's mother was unthinkably brutal. She forced her own son to become the "family slave". Dave's father was hopeless in helping him. Dave's mother was in complete control of everything that was going on in the house. She had three other boys which were all raised as a normal child. Dave was forced to do anything his mom could think of making him do such as scrubbing the floor, clean her room and much more. He was barley fed enough food to survive he started to steal food from other kids at school and after he got caught- his mom made him sleep in the cold basement on an army cot. One day his mother gave him exactly 20 minutes to do all the dishes and if there was any spear time to find and eat scraps of food from the trash so he can eat, but if he exceeds his time limit he would die. He's mom exuberantly told him that while holding a knife in her hand and accidentally flicked it from her hand to Dave's stomach. Dave dropping to the floor thinking that this is his last moments tries to remain calm. He's mother cleans the wound and covers it with his dirty shirt but still does not take him to the hospital because they would ask questio...
