             For many years, researchers have been disputing the controversy of whether television causes violent behavior among children and even adults. Since television was invented, it has been a major part of most peoples' lives. Television, in most homes, is the major source of entertainment and some say that because of its popularity and high usage, its violent content can be detrimental to young viewers. Children at a young age are not fully able to determine the difference between reality and what occurs on television and because of that, it is dangerous because many could be influenced by violence that occurs on the program that he or she watches and display the same violence. On the other hand, others say that violence has nothing to do with what is shown on television, but that it comes from the people themselves and their friends. But due to the evidence, it is clear that television does cause violence in everyday life.
             One reason why children might be influenced by the violence that is viewed on television is because of the way the violence is portrayed to the viewer.
