Who killed Jesus
The crucifixion of Jesus and who is Responsible for it The death of Jesus has always been an extremely controversial topic. The main reason is based on the question, "who killed Jesus?" There are three major beliefs to the answer of this question. These beliefs are; one, the Romans killed Jesus. Two, Jews killed Jesus and lastly, the Jews forced the Romans to crucify Jesus. Of course only one can truly be correct and that one is that the Romans killed Jesus. The other two beliefs were opinions based on Anti- Semitism and Anti-Judaism. Throughout the essay, two version of Jesus' death will be shown, one, according to my research and the other according to the Christian bias. The Romans are the people who are guilty for the crucifixion of Jesus. The Romans falsely accused Jesus of disturbing the peace and also accused him of claiming that he was the King of the Jews. The Romans would not tolerate this and subsequently brought him in front of all the Romans, and inquired the punishment that should be received for his violations. A consensus was formed on capital punishment; therefore the Roman Governor, Pilate, did precisely what they sought after. "Then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him. And the soldiers plaited a crown of th
" , As well as give him thirty-nine beatings not one more or one less. For the last two millennia the Jews have been held liable for having enforced the Romans to crucify Jesus. Hereafter, Jesus was seen as a different person due to the severe injuries that made him unrecognizable. Only after two thousand years of prejudice and hatred by Christians, the Pope recently forgave them. Therefore, they decided to 'settle the score' by having Jesus killed. to the place called the place of a skull, which is called in Hebrew Golgotha. While he was alive on the cross, the only thing that Jesus could think about was his mother beside him weeping and then instructed his friends to take very good care of her. The Jews had no evidence to justify why Jesus should be killed because he had not done anything wrong. Jesus did not plead innocent because he thought that it would be better to get capital punishment and die for his people. Just before he was nailed to the cross, the purple cape that was on Jesus' back was ripped off in order to submit him to relentless pain and to guarantee the bleeding would not seize. " Jesus was tortured the whole duration of the trip to the Hebrew Golgotha. Some people even took turns spitting on him.
