Yoga
The article I read dealt with yoga. It said that yoga could be a useful tool when dealing with stress. The article also explained that stress acts as a stimuli. It began with a brief exclamation about certain amounts of stress and their effect on your body. When the body is not being stimulated enough, the body and mind starts to feel lethargic and depressed with a lack of focus. When the body is experiencing too much stress, it can lead to a nervous breakdown. The article dsays yoga minimizes the effect of stress on your body. The article then goes into causes of stress and how the mind tries to battle them. It says emotional well being has the largest effect on the amount of
stress in the body, and the body comes up with artificial solutions to battle with the daily stress. Now I know that it is doing all of these great things for my body. I am glad that I have been doing all of these things for my body. When stress levels are too high, the diaphragm cannot change shape when it is exhaling and inhaling. Yoga has also helped me cope with asthma, probably because it conditions the diaphragm and increases stamina. I will continue to enjoy all the wonderful things yoga is doing for my body. The article says that a person can develop alcoholism, eating disorders, unhealthy relationships, etc. The article also explains that yoga can help channel away the toxins the body accumulates at night when it sleeps called lactic acid. I never knew I was helping to cope with stress, I simply though I was exercising. I do not feel quite so tense or stiff in the mornings, and my joints have never been in better shape. Yoga can help increase immunity to "dis-ease" of all the systems in the body. The article then went into some anatomical explanations of the diaphragm. Yoga designates the diaphragm as the warrior against stress. Yoga can also help achieve states of calmness and tranquillity.
