Which University to Choose?
College is a scary thing on its own. Leaving to go be on your own away from parents and the rest of your friends to start your own life and how your going to live it. Choosing a college can be a very tough decision there are many things that one must think about in order to decide which one is right for you and will you be accepted. Myself it was an interesting process in which I decided to choose the college which is right for me and whether or not they might have the right program for me. First, I looked at schools in my area around Texas but I really didn't like Texas that much so I decided I need a college that was more in an area where I feel more at home. There are many things that may help you decide which is the right one for you. There are chooses to be made about whether you like the big atmosphere of a large university or a smaller one like Eastern New Mexico University. You have wondered if you are a big city person or a small town type of person. Tuition is a major factor in deciding which university you might be able to afford and which one you won't be able to afford. How close is this school t
If you like small classroom settings or do you like big classes so that you might have new friends every semester that you are in school. You also have better recognition when you graduate because of the school you graduated from is more well know then say Eastern New Mexico University. Or the opportunities to have interesting friends and a wide area to study in. You can talk to your teachers find out what is necessary to pass in that class and even get help form them. So organizations are there for your needs and not limited to a small number of organizations in a smaller school. Yet there at a larger college you might decide that you don't want to have smaller classes where it matters to your professors how many times you came to class or if you just did the work you were supposed to do. Yet you have to look at those that may cause you to chose the university which you really weren't looking for like cost of tuition which as a big decision in whether or not they decide if they are going to be attending the school of there choose . o where your family lives might be a big deal in which school you will choose. Like class sizes and the one on one with your teachers. Living at a smaller school your professors are going to know who you are. There are so many more types of classes to help you with your career and many different types of teachers that you have the possibilities to meet and the standard of teachers are well known and may be better qualified to teach those at a smaller university. Yet at larger university you have more opportunities to join many different types of organizations. There are many benefits to each type of setting at a smaller school you are able to connect to you professors and even know them on a personal basis. I have to argue that the larger university is better because of all the new people you can meet and all the opportunities for a bigger field of intramural.
