The Starry Night

             I stood perched upon a mountain which towered over the dimly glowing town. The lights littered the ground, as if they were some little form of a star in its adolescence. The moon looked like it was the town's overseer, its radiant lights reflected off the church's lofty pillar. The wind growled above the peaceful houses, as if it was a lion roaring at its prey. The forest reflected the eloquent moonlight, as if the trees felt like they were some part of the moons supreme rule over the town. I gazed upon the mountains which I currently stood resting on. They looked like great, powerful waves towering over the town; like a guard that makes sure that nothing happens to the town. They looked oddly out of shape like they had been in some great battle with an awesome force. The wind continued to growl, violently shaking the sypress tree as if it was simply a microscopic ant being rattled by a huge earthquake which powered over the gentle land. The sypress tree looked as if it had been tortured, taken from his peaceful village and was being held against his will. It looked lonely, its was denied the privilege that some things take for granted, being with others of his own kind. The conspicuous church tower looked alone at its magnificent height. I had great affection towards the stars; they looked like they were unveiling a beautiful show of lights. The wind carefully avoided the starts, as if it knew that it was powerful but it also knew it was no match for the starts authority. The minuscule houses stood upon the ground, appearing massive compared to the surrounding hills, but infinitesimal from the ledge which I currently stood upon. The town below me quickly faded into the forest, the houses continuing despite the persistent trees feeling like they just wanted to live without humans.
             Even taller mountains stood soaring behind me. They were covered in a beautiful array of lights. They glistened brightly into my eyes, blind...
