Animals Rights: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

             Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, is generally expected world wide as some of man's most basic rights. This should include all living breathing creatures on this earth microscopic to enormous. However the same does not apply for most animals. At some point in time man decided that rights were for the sole purpose of man. Animals large and small alike are thought in most cases not even to have rights. Animals are thought as property and not independent living creatures. Even thought man shares the same earth with so many animals it seems that they are not extended the same privilege of rights that we are. Man has a power over many things in this world one being the treatment of animals. These creatures that benefit mankind in so many ways and that help to preserve our species receive so little in return. We harvest so much from so many animals with little regard in most cases to their rights. We completely disregard animal's natural behaviors and instincts to better meet our needs. Animals today are exploited and tortured for the sole purpose of man kind's benefit with little regard for their rights.
             Animal rights as defined by the federal law differ from those that many animal rights organization believe they should have. There are some regulations in the effect that look after the right of animals. The 28 law which states an animal must not be transported for more then 28hours at a time was the first law of it is kind. The next big step in insuring that animal's rights were not taken advantage of was the Animal Welfare Act. The Animals welfare act states the following
             "The AWA requires that minimum standards of care and treatment be provided for certain animals bred for commercial sale, used in research, transported commercially, or exhibited to the public. Individuals who operate facilities in these categories must provide their animals with adequate care and treatment in the areas of housin...
