Jews were almost like slaves, with ripped clothing a small amount of soup and a piece of bread. After he passed 2 years of his life treated as an animal, he needed to get used to a life without suffering. it didnt matter if they were man or women. The Nazi's placed the jews in concentration camps. Nazis were in charge of punishing the jews, not because they did something wrong, it was only because Hitler thought that all jews were the same. one of the worst concentrationcamps was cellad Auschwitz. The jews suffered very unfair treatment while they were at the concentration camps. Jews were treated as like Saddam Husseim treated his people. After being rescued, Elie was like a little boy, because he had to adjust again to a new life. not because you are rich or famous everyone is going to respect you, think before you act, because noone has the right to punish other people, thats what I learned by reading his book, it shows you how people fight for their life. If someone said something against the goverment, they would kill them, so back then it was the same thing with the goverment of Hitler. Jews were placed in concentration camps just because of their nationalism, they were kept therwe while they died in the concentration camps. Elie Wiesel was a boy who struggled through the cencentration camps.
