The Increasing Chaos of Marriage

Men and women are like the human cell; they're the basic units of life. We can't have one without the other. Thus begins the attempts at relationships between the two, and that's where it all starts. Men and women have numerous differences that initially attract us to one another. Eventually those differences became annoyances and that begins the blame game. Men say that it's the faults of women that make relationships so tough; women are "too needy", "too sensitive", "too emotional" and the list goes on. Women, on the other hand, believe men to lack sensitivity, compassion, emotion, and are unable to understand women's emotions and needs, as well as many more. Relationships become a game of finger-pointing as to who is at fault for it not being the "fairy-tale" image that we all grow up hearing about. One of the main reasons men and women struggle in relationships is because of our different communication styles. Men communicate with hard facts, what is actually happening not what they feel is happening. Whereas women experience relationships through what they feel is happening; everything has an emotional connection. Women have a harder time of separating their emotions from the act

Interracial marriages are not as scrutinized as they once were. It's as if men and women speak totally different languages when it comes to relationships. On the other hand, men take the words of women to mean exactly what is said without the emotional perspective that is usually attached to those words. Military families have to deal with mothers, fathers, husbands or wives being deployed for long periods of time (usually a minimum of one year) from their families, having loved ones in war areas not knowing if they're ok, and the instability of moving from state to state every couple of years. or are becoming too involved in pornography. Prejudice is always going to exist in the world so the couple just has to come up with their own coping mechanism to deal with it together. Families nowadays often come from many different backgrounds, both ethnically and culturally. Men always have to try to "fix" everything without the involvement of emotions. Men too have had roles added to their pre-existing role of the "bread-winner". Another way couples destroy trust between them is by breaking promises often, not striving to be the best spouse they can be, intruding on each other privacy. Women deal with stress in many different ways. Sexual tension in the marriage also drives some individuals to stray from their vows into temptation. But for women, we want to be comforted first and fix the problem later after we've dealt with the stressor emotionally. As with any major change, this addition and changing of roles is only adding to the chaos of home life, but it is becoming more common and will eventually no longer be an issue. Usually it consists of some crying for no real reason; it just makes us feel better.
