The Seven Habits book

             The Seven Habits book initially put me in a bad mood. But I decided to give the book a chance with a open mind. After reading the book for our first assignment I was really impressed with how well the book was written and noticed there was a lot of truth to what was being said. I realized I could really relate to this book and could use its useful information. The information in this book is really up to date and is enjoyable to read.
             The first habit is to be proactive. This habit will show you to take responsibility. This applied to my life when I lost my brothers keys to his vehicle while I had had it borrowed for the weekend. I was proactive by taking full responsibility for my actions and correcting the problem.
             The second habit is to begin with the end in mind. Begin with the end in mind means to develop a clear picture of where you want to go with your life. It means deciding what your values are and setting goals. In my life I have shown the second habit when I have imagined my self where I would go to college, or what my lifetime job would be, or where I would live when I retire.
             The third habit is putting first things first. Putting first things first means to do the things in your life that are most important first and least important last. A example in my life where I exhibited the second habit was when I had to study for semester exams and work in the same week. So the most important thing was for me to study. So I put first things first by having someone work for me so I could study.
             The fourth habit is to think win-win. This habit is an attitude toward life. It is a mental frame of mind that says I can win, and so can you. It is the foundation for getting along well with other people. A example of this habit in my life is when I needed to use my moms vehicle because it was bad weather and my vehicle wasn't safe for the weather but my mom needed her vehicle to go to the store....
