Don't Discriminate

             This essay will be about how people are discriminated against. Discrimination is defined in civil rights law as unfavorable or unfair treatment of a person or class of persons in comparison to others who are not members of the protected class because of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, age, physical/mental handicap, sexual harassment, and sexual orientation. People are discriminated against everyday for all sorts of reasons I will be talking about how people are discriminated against because of there age, language, and sex.
             I personally feel discriminated against when I go to my doctors office and all the notices and stuff on the wall are in Spanish. I think this is discrimination because this is the United States of America and everything should be in English. Regardless if they want to put it in Spanish they have every right to but it should also be in English.
             I also feel discriminated against for being a girl. If you are a girl your insurance automatically cost more. I also feel this way because my parents don't let me do a lot of things because I'm a girl. Like they wont let me go walking at night, they don't let me go anywhere by myself, and they are more protective of me around guys.
             I Also feel discriminated against because of my age. I feel this way because u have to be a certain age to drink, drive, smoke cigarettes, gamble, handle alcohol, and to work etc. I also feel this way because of my parents. The fact that I'm only 16 years old I'm limited to a lot of stuff. Like curfew, having to wait to get my license and where I can go and where I can't.
             In conclusion my race, age, and sex is where I feel that I've personally been discriminated against. Discrimination exists all around the United States.
