The American Dream

The American foreign policy was driven by four main components of what people believe the American Dream to be. The four main components of our American Dream are wealth, freedom, security, and equality. Each belief of what the American Dream is exemplifies a reason of why each war was started. The idea of freedom can be matched up with the Isolationism of the 20's and 30's. Freedom is a spacious part of why a lot of countries declare war on each other. The concept of equality is connected to World War II. In this war everyone soldier in the military received a fair opportunity when the commander decided the job that each would be performing. The choice was made from the soldier's ability and not their skin color. The dropping of the Atomic Bomb coexist with security. This was an act committed by the U.S. to assure that they would win World War II. The component of Wealth is joined with American Imperialism. Which is how America has become one of the most dominant countries in the world today. The Isolationism of the 20's and 30's would portray freedom in a way of everyone dealing with their own problems. No country would depend upon another country to get them out of a struggle if they were in a war

The dropping of the Atomic Bomb signifies security by the United States. When The Battle Of Britain began, Hitler launched a vicious attack by dropping bombs on various parts of Great Britain. " The Monroe Doctrine stated that any foreign military expeditions sent to the Western Hemisphere would be seen as a threat to the U. Woman could now work in factories and do the job that the men were supposed to do. Robert Oppenheimer came up with a plan to launch an atomic bomb and after president Truman had heard about this he decided to launch it on a city in Japan by the name of Hiroshima. One way that equality was shown in World War II was when a soldier was picked for a position in the military. America was so furious with Germany that when Germany attacked the Soviet Union, the United States sent out a Lend-Lease aid to help the communist USSR. Because of the shortage of men, the industries and factories sought equality within the workplace. During this time the women played an important role in providing for the family and country just as the soldiers did. The Japanese soldiers crushed the American soldiers and out-numbered them by a ratio of ten to one. America decided to take part in affirmative action in the fall of 1941 when Germany U-boats torpedoed two submarines which killed about 100 Americans.
