Academic preparation
I believe that I have performed to the best of my ability at D_______ High School. I have always been motivated to excel in my studies. Although my parents were not fortunate to pursue a college education, they have always told me that a firm education is the key to success. With my motivation and the support and encouragement from my family, I know I have the potential not only to set high goals for myself, but, make those goals and dreams a reality. Several factors led to my decision in the career I chose such as the large demand in the job market for skilled professionals in this field. I know that this career will offer me the satisfaction and opportunities that I have worked hard for and deserve. Although salary is an important aspect for a steady and secure life, I believe that my personal gratification is equally as important. I believe that I have the initiative and determination to accomplish my journey through life. After obtaining my degree, I plan to move to the Bay Area in search for employment. After I feel that I am financially stable, I would like to have a family and later on venture in starting my own business. As a result of my enjoyment of the universal language, mathematics, and my interests in the never ending world of technology, I plan to acquire a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. To reach my destination, I must first overcome my next challenge: to prevail the high standards set forth by the University of California. I know I can and will be victorious. I know that it may take a while to make my way up the salary ladder to the high paying jobs, but I am determined to get there no matter how long and difficult my journey is. I would like a position with a starting salary of $50,000. I am eager to enlarge my horizons of knowledge at the University of California, Los Angeles.
