Abortion

             Abortion is one of the most leading and most talked about issue in today 's society. I picked this issue because I was once in the situation of deciding if I wanted the girl that is was with to have an abortion. I asked myself could afford a baby, and if I was ready to have one? The main question is abortion morally right or wrong? I did not know that much about it and I did not want to find out about it on the account of it happening to me. But that is how I was introduced to the issue. Many people really do not think about the abortion unless it pertains to their lives. Some common questions about abortion pop up for instance; is abortion murder, at what point is a fetus considered a person and what is the value of human life? Abortion does not only hurt the woman individually the family as a whole is affected too. The first decision a woman has to make is a personal one. It is between the woman, her physician or her counselor. The U.S. Supreme Court has answered the second decision: since 1973, a woman has the right to obtain an early abortion. Should abortion be permitted, do we as people have a right to decide what is good for others?
             The reason that I wrote about abortion is to inform people on the pro's and the cons and to also influence people on making the right decision. Females that are teens and young adults are the main targets for this issue because women feel the affects of the decision greater than a man does. Abortion is legal and has been legal since the Row vs. Wade case in 1973, so why is there so much controversy over the issue? The government has already decided that the value of human life is not more important than a persons own privacy. Now if a person was going to decide to get an abortion they would have to think which is more important, human life or a person own privacy?
