             No matter who you are, where you grew up, or what you look like, there was a time in your life or there will be a time in your life where you feel the demand of excellence from society. Could you imagine being a professional athlete? They not only feel the pressure that they bestow upon themselves, but they also feel the pressure from the whole outside world. We are at a time where winning is everything, even when we look at the younger athletes. If we went back many years from now the younger sports crowd was all based around enjoyment, the fun of the game. Today our children feel pressure from their coaches, parents and peers. These athletes that are now representing our country have been raised knowing this horrible feeling of pressure. Parents today need to really take a step back before they yell at their child for not kicking the ball hard enough or not catching the ball correctly and try to understand the effect that these types of pressures will have on these innocent children. Children feeling pressure all their lives may always feel they are not good enough and will try anything in order to be the best. This very competitive world that we live in today combined with society's demand for excellence has really made drug usage in the sports world as common as ever. Athletes taking drugs in order to enhance their performances has dated way back. The most popular supplements that were being taken by many athletes around the world were,
             protein powders. In most cases these protein supplements were powders that were made from sources such as; beef, fish, milk, egg and soy bean. (embleton.) A protein powder seems so innocent and harmless.
