College entrance essay
There was a time in my life when I thought that I could not make it. I thought I would not make anything out of myself. I had lost who I was, my identity, and my motivation. Now I know my way in life, and what I want to do in my future. I know I want to become a computer programmer. I know I have the intelligence, determination and strength to take me there. During my freshman year I had a lot of problems with my family and myself. I was lost, and had trouble finding my way. Through the darkness that was cast upon me, a light shone brightly in the distance. This light is a woman who showed me to believe in myself and not to let anything hold me down. Lisa is my best friend, and though in college we will unfortunately part separate ways for a short time, I will always keep in touch and will never forget the lessons she has taught me in my life. She gave me strength, willpower, determinat
She is caring, compassionate, and a good friend. I have trust in myself and I believe the hardship I struggled through will make me a stronger and more caring professional. I will do it, because I have something I did not have when I was younger. Through my life I will also be thankful for the second chance I have been given me to truly show the world who I am. With the help of her care and my own determination I have now pulled myself from the dark shadows and into the bright sunlight. After college I want to help others who were in the same situation as I was. With trust in myself I have overcome this tragic time in my life. To conclude, in the beginning of my high school career I thought myself as a lost person who had his life undecided. I have changed as a person and will always remain the way I am now. My life has just begun and I think what decisions I make now will decide what I can do later. This makes me more determined to attain my goals. I am responsible and attuned to my goals. One reason I want to become a computer programmer is because my uncle who is a experienced computer programmer is having a great life. My grades were good in freshman year and then it started to fall down because I was beginning to find high school harder every year but with the help of my friend it went up again.
