Paradise lost

             Paradise lost contains the story of Adam and Eve, and their fall from Eden. I am going to discuss who is to be blamed for the fall of mankind. I believe that it is Eve's fault for the fall of mankind, and I am going to back my thesis with facts from the book. Eve made the main choice to eat the fruit from the forbidden tree in the garden; she was strongly pressured into eating from the forbidden tree on two separate occasions. Adam also ate the fruit, because he was following the wishes of eve and he did everything out of love for her. So I am going to explain why I believe Eve is the main reason behind the fall.
             Satan is listening to a conversation between Adam, Eve, and he overhears some information about the Tree of Life.
             This one, this easie charge, of all the Trees
             In Paradise that bear delicious fruit
             So various, not to taste that onely Tree
             Of knowledge, planted by the Tree of Life,
             So neer grows Death to Life, what ere Death is, [ 425
             Som dreadful thing no doubt; for well thou knowst
             God hath pronounc't it death to taste that Tree,
             Among so many signes of power and rule
             Conferrd upon us, and Dominion giv'n [ 430 ]
             Over all other Creatures that possess
             Earth, Aire, and Sea. Then let us not think hard
             Free leave so large to all things else, and choice (IV. 421-434)
             Satan has overheard Adam tell Eve that they must not eat of the Tree of Knowledge, calling it "the only sign of our obedience left," (IV. 428) or else God will kill them. Now that Satan knows that Adam and Eve have been forbidden to eat from this tree, he is sure to try and temp them to eat from it.
             Eve is the first one to eat from the forbidden tree. Satan played a major role in getting Eve to taste from the tree. He came to Eve's dream disguised as an angel, and successfully tempts her to eat the forbidden fruit. As soon as Eve tastes the fruit, she and the an
