             The relationship between media depictions of athletes and actual athletes' persona is extremely complex. There are a number of interacting variables which influence who will be affected, by what material, and in what way. These include: the context in which the athlete is portrayed; the age of the viewer; and the participant's ability to differentiate between fantasy and reality. In today's society T.V and newspapers have done many different things. It has shown the world what war looks like up close. It has also taught children to read, write and do so many other things. Although the television and articles have brought many positive aspects to the United States, it also has a downfall to it. These two contexts are controlled by a higher archy defined by the media. It has the capacity to give people the wrong idea about individuals, situations, and etc. through a change in content, shows and writing. There is a quote that defends the truth behind the curtain and is stated, "the first rule of the media is to make money; ethical conduct is a by-product of luxury. If they go bankrupt, then their ethical conduct is irrelevant." This is the idea that viewers are dependent on strangers whom thrive for nothing but wealth and capitalism, furthermore will shamelessly lead us to believe the most interesting, misfortune and complex story.
             In particular, the Kobe Bryant case deals with more than a need for an honest approach, it's in desperate need of what kind of rules would you want to rule that would be both in the male's and female's interest and do we need to break the he-said, she-said logjam?
