Average
The average teenager is said to talk 16 minutes or less to their parents during the week. These are the same parents who brought them into this world and treated them with the love and gave them the strength to grow day by day. As the teenager grows up to his or her preteen teenage years the teenager decides to become isolated from their parents. But in reality the parents were the ones who first were the teenagers who dealt with the daily drama of being a high school student. From this point on I will be describing my mother (the one who gave me life in this world) high school experience along with her dislikes and likes that made her what she is today. My mother attended Grand Blanc High School in the mid 60's and graduated in the late 60's. Back then of course there were many things different then now but there was a lot of common teenage situations my mother dealt with much like I do today. My mother was a student who really loved going to high school for somewhat of the same reasons I did. She loved the social life and the academics being taught to her. My mother was a great student and received decent grades with mostly A's, B's and some C's. She received all A's all year with her favorite Teacher which was Mrs.
This assignment truly inspired me and my mother to talk more, and was great for the both of us, as we really enjoyed doing this project. A lot of her high school experiences absolutely surprised me, it also surprised me to find out she was very much like me back when she was a teenager. But what did surprise me was her most embarrassing moment which I thought was funny. My mother commented on the quotes, "There is life after high school," and, "The best of your teen's life is yet to come," by saying, "Highschool is only four years. Her parent's didn't even know what she liked or disliked in the first place. That had to be pretty embarrassing I could never imagine throwing up in school, I would be so embarrassed. In ten years what she would like to me doing successfully is coaching or teaching, or being successful in music. Speaking of careers though my mother's high school careers were working at Smith's Budgeman's which was a gift store, and at the Bella Vista Mall. Getting away from her high school careers my mother often went to Mt. In ten years she see's me writing newspapers, or on television, or on radio. So instead my mother waited until her mother and father weren't home and went out and played with the neighborhood kids in the streets. A painful memory though was when my mother dated a senior when she was a sophomore and found out he was just using her to make his senior girlfriend jealous, this really hurt my mother a lot, but she ended up meeting my father so it goes to show everything does happen for a reason. She tried to react to there concerns by being a good child and trying to keep a clean slate and not get in trouble. Her parents though were concerned very much on the subject of reputation and sex though as she was a teenager.
