The fate of the earth

Throughout our lives, we live under the assumptions that most of the world will be as it appears to us. We go to sleep every night and wake up the next morning expecting everything to be as it is. Although it is inevitable, we choose to ignore the constant changes in our planet; we tend to easily forget about the bigger picture and only focus on ourselves. The fact of the matter is that there are many factors in our world today that may and will affect the outcome of our future. Whether such factors are involving human conditions, a planetary aspect, or even an astrophysical phenomenon, we must act now and do something to improve our current conditions. However, one question still remains: even if we are able to solve our problems, are we still doomed? In the immediate future, the one thing that poses the biggest problem(s) is our own human conditions. We must first begin to "fix" what is hurting us now rather than wait until it is too late. In our present state, the one thing that can immediately destroy our planet is war. War is probably the one thing that can kill our planet the quickest (tomorrow even). All it takes is the use of nuclear weapons and our planet gets destroyed. We need to keep everything in control

The biggest problem we face is the fact that despite the extensive knowledge we have about our universe, there is still so much that we know nothing or little about. and not resort to such measures or we will ruin our own planet. Disease is a problem because it begins to spread and it begins to affect how we live, and may eventually kill off a great deal of life. What if there is something there that we do not know about and. It begins to create an ozone hole which begins to expand over time if not taken care of, posing a threat to human health and plant health. Through our burning of fossil fuels, we begin to affect our atmosphere which increases our global temperature in turn creating an inhabitable environment where human life and plant life cannot flourish. After dealing with the previous two issues, we can then begin to consider a much larger problem that may or may not one day cause harm to us and our planet. In doing so, our pollution has an impact on our ozone. Our increasing numbers are rapidly increasing our hunger problems; more people equal more food consumption. I am talking about astrophysical problems that we may one day face. Knowing or not, we pollute our environment. Global warming is another danger we face today. We have no means of defending ourselves from it, we cannot do a "Deep Impact" or "Armageddon" on the asteroid, we might lack the technology. We just have to do something about it. We use a great deal of natural resources, but we as a whole do not give a great deal of thought to the fact that we might one day not have any.
