Statement of Objectives
I am a highly experienced Computer Specialist in the Range Management Industry. My experience includes responsibility for managing the organization's overall internal information technology architecture. As the IT manager responsible for the day-to-day management of information systems, including databases, operating systems, networks, technical support, and PC and server maintenance. My experience has been Federal Civil Service with industry leaders (Boeing, Indyne, ITT, MCA, IBM, DELL and Lockheed Martin) and has allowed for a broad exposure to key markets across the nation and the development of a wide
These skills include leadership and team building, purchasing and product development, customer service and client development, contractual agreements and the management of business operations to achieve mission goals. This course of action will not only allow for the fullest development of my personal potential, a major life objective, but will also allow me to make the most of all the roles and responsibilities I will maintain or take on in future years. This includes my commitment to an employer or co-workers to help build an enterprise that has a worthwhile mission and the know-how to achieve it, my commitment to my family to provide a home that allows for the personal growth of all and my commitment to my community to make a world worth passing on to others. I believe that by creating personal value in this way for myself, I am also creating value for all the stakeholders in my life (family, employer, friends and community). I strongly and wholeheartedly believe that earning a Masters in Information Technology Management is my calling. I also feel a need to broaden the scope of my thinking and to sharpen my skills in the IT career field in a way that cannot happen through on the job experience. While I have been successful as a Computer Specialist and continue to explore career opportunities in Civil Service, I am also interested in investigating other avenues in the IT career field that will allow me to use the skills I have developed while learning new things. I see MSITM studies as a way to address all of these needs while providing exposure to the most up to-date understanding of business in the twenty-second century. Going forward, I see myself taking the talents and experiences I have developed in my past and adding to them new learning, new experiences and personal development in a way that prepares me to become the most complete, effective leader and person I can be as a IT Manager. All of these experiences have given me the strong academic foundation, perseverance, and maturity that are necessary to pursue and complete a MSITM.
