GILGAMESH

             Many stories and myths were Written about Gilgamesh, some of which were written down about 2000B.C. Gilgamesh was an historical king of Uruk in Babylonia. With all the super power Gilgamesh had, he realized that death is the necessary fact because of gods will. Even with all the power in the world, all things ended with mortality.
             Gilgamesh was a great hero who had all the knowledge, two-third god and one-third human, the strongest super human that ever existed in the city of Uruk. The sky-god Anu created a wild man, Enkidu to serve as the subhuman rival to the superhuman Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh searched for eternal life and failed to fulfill his chances at immortality. He searched for Utnapishtim, the only mortals that god has granted eternal life, and asked him how he were able to be immortal.
             Enkidu has the strength of wild animals. Gilgamesh and Enkidu fought furiously until Gilgamesh wins and Enkidu concedes his superiority and became devoted friends. They made a journey to the cedar forest to fight with the Humbaba and beat the demon together. They were so strong that they fought the epic battle with Humbaba and defeated him. With the fame of Gilgamesh, they also had to fight with Bull of Heaven and killed the mighty bull. Enkidu found out that the Chief of Gods have met and decided that he should be punished to hell. Gilgamesh was saddened by his death and realized that he was not powerful enough to save his friends life.
             Gilgamesh realized that he could not stop death so he searched for immortality. He found Utnapishtim, the only mortal that god has granted eternal life, and promised him that he can do what Utnapishtim had to do to be alive. He heard the story how Utnapishtim had escaped the flood and were granted immortality by the Gods out of mercy.
