Three great revolutionary writers

The Revolutionary War created the greatest country on earth. This war was brought about not by senseless barbarians, but by the words of many great writers and speakers. Among these was Thomas Jefferson, perhaps the most known writer of the era, who wrote our countries sacred document The Declaration of Independence. Another man who helped in the effort of liberty, was Patrick Henry, delegate of Virginia, he delivered an amazing speech about his passionate view on freedom from the British. A great female writer of the time, Abigail Adams, wife of John Adams, wrote letters to her husband explaining her views of freedom and recommending to him ways to help the colonies' cause for freedom. Going up against the strongest nation in the world at the time, the colonies needed motivation to rally troops against the British King, it was to be found in the magnificent minds of Jefferson, Henry, and Adams. These are our ancestors, and we owe our freedom to them.First, is our third President and author of The Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson not only had to write a motivating document declaring independence, but he had to put on paper the emotion of all those who felt it necessary to secede from Gr

Abigail Adams was an important part of the politics played out in her husband. Jefferson made the point that people had unalienable rights that could not to be taken from them reasonably. Among the delegates there was Patrick Henry, an enthusiastic believer in liberty for the colonies. " Jefferson, being very straightforward in his message, labels Great Britain as a government being destructive to those rights, and it was the right of the Colonists to declare themselves independent. Jefferson did an amazing job in making the United States its own country. Henry made the point that the British King had oppressed the freedoms of the colonists. They are some of very few true "History Makers" that this world has seen. I believe these three did a great thing for the world and made it a much better place then the world it was to be before they came and did what they did. She criticized her husband in the Letter to John Adams, "I cannot say that I think you are very generous to the ladies; for, whilst your are proclaiming peace and good-will to men. The country that they were so passionate about creating has become the most powerful nation on earth. Henry was an important part of the revolution, he made the cases for war and helped give birth to a nation. Without them, we might not have declared independence from Britain, but instead be under the king's control to this day.
