How A School Bus Driver Impacts the Lives of those She Carri
Are The School Bus Drivers of America Impacting the Children's Lives Or Are They Impacting Ours? Having been a school bus driver myself for the last 6 years. I have seen and heard many things that lead me to believe that bus drivers do make an impact on the children they transport. I have also witnessed from firsthand experience that children also make a lasting impact on the drivers who transport them. Therefore I am compelled to write my essay on this subject matter. We as bus drivers have good and bad stories to tell. Children have stories from their own perspective. What makes a good bus driver? What opinions do bus drivers have about the children that they transport to school? What opinions do the children have about their bus drivers? Have we made a difference in their lives? These and other questions will be answered in the paragraphs to follow. The future of America is in the hands of the one who begins the day and ends the day with a smile. On average there are more than 23,000,000 children transported to school by buses across the nation each year by and estimated 460,000 school bus drivers and the numbers are growing.(SBF 29) Training for a school bus driver is vigorous and entails no less than 40
So this made not only a bad lasting impression on the parent, but also the student as well. Shouldn't it make you feel safe and secure as a parent to know; that your children are in good hands? While in the same notion they have someone who genuinely cares about them.
