How do you plan to implement the gained experience?
A boy comes up to his mother and says: "Mummy, I have got a role of Tajik journalist!" The mother asks: "Oh, my honey, couldn't you take the role with the words?" This anecdote does not mean that journalism and mass media in our country is speechless. But our Republic is a young one. People of our country have to learn a lot about journalism to reach international level. We have just begun to come across such notions as democracy and freedom of speech. Though round tables and meetings are conducted and people try to solve the problems concerning our Tajik press, namely: How to bring update and hot news for Tajik people? What proclaim in newspapers, on TV and radio and what not to proclaim? As Rudolfo Anaya (American novelist) said: "There are people who are afraid of change. We cannot hide our heads in the sand and pretend that everything is all right". Thus the situation in our country should be changed. Furthermore I took several dailies and compared them, as the result I found out that most of the information was simply copied, especially from Russian magazines. Many articles deal with what is happening abroad. There are articles about pop-stars and their lives. It shows unseriousness. Many issues are about entertainmen
This summer there was a mountain torrent in our country. Just imagine what will happen with her in future? So I chose journalism and mass media as a field of study in the US as I want to increase professional level of reporting in our Republic. Moreover a good newspaperman should always provide only update information. A newsman should move heaven and earth to get information. On the other hand public demands sensations, reporter's articles should be catching, he has to have sharp tongue. Every time I read a paper I find the same matters discussed. I want to make contribution to this, to transfer the values of democracy in America to my country. The teacher wanted to report Helen what water meant. People were not informed about it neither on TV or radio nor in the dailies. I believe the study in the US will broaden my horizons in press, namely it will teach me to observe, to analyze people and events correctly. It is difficult to tell the truth when others want to hide it. Two graveyards and one scientific laboratory were washed off.
