Francesca winded up dropping her classes saying that she would return next semester when she was able to get a new car. Another reason pertaining to family problems is divorce. Kimmy, like so many other college drop outs, are all prepared for a college education, but get distracted before they finish. That totals eighty-four dollars just to register for the class. Next semester came around and she never returned to college. Steven winded up dropping out and never returned. One personal issue could be that the student has a cloudy vision on how he or she should manage their time. Especially that of a parent or a close relative.

Family problems is one reason why a student may drop out of college. She was left with the financial responsibility of taking care of her brothers and sister, as well as her own son. She has a ten month old son and lives at home with her mother and three younger brothers and sister. Along with the son that she has to support she helps take care of her siblings. As opposed to the lucky student who has parents or a parent that pays for them to attend college. To attend school at a community college is twenty eight dollars a unit. In an English class, the homework or study time can range from one hour to four hours depending on how much the student has to study.
