Terrorism

After September 11, 2001, there were days of confusion, anger, and hate. Americans did not know how or why anyone would want to hurt and kill so many innocent people. However, President George Bush managed to pull America back together, and we have become a stronger nation since that horrific day three years ago. Many Americans have been and are still against the war in Iraq, but what all Americans must realize is that failing to wage war against Iraq would have shown the same kind of hesitation and weakness that helped strengthen Osama bin Laden's efforts to attack on September 11,2001. These fears for the war on terrorism are misleading. Most of all Americans should think about the most crucial issue in the Iraqi War; that is, the survival of all innocent Americans, as well as the survival of the rest of the innocent people of the civilized world. What should be considered by all Americans is what has, or has not, happened since the start of the war in Iraq. We have not been attacked again in our homeland. Al-Qaeda has been disrupted from his activities while over half of his network's leadership have been killed or arrested. The Taliban are no longer around. As a result, Afghanistan is attempting a constitutional government. These and many other spectacular events have happened as the result of the war in Iraq. When you hear someone speaking against the war in Iraq maybe they should be told that this is not the first time that people have been in doubt about America's ability to make a destroyed country better. America has become a stronger country following the events of the past three years, and we only hope to come out of this war being even more dominant than before.
