Book Summary: Of Mice and Men

Of Mice and Men written by John Steinbeck is an intriguing and realistic tale about the lives of two men, George and Lenny, who travel together. Through their journey they experience many obstacles while trying to achieve their dream. Unfortunately they are not able to do so due to unexpected circumstances. In his book Steinbeck explores many themes such as the characters' fears of loneliness and their fights to achieve their dreams.

He feels that it is not right that he be exiled in that way due to the color of his skin. Candy, the old swamper, is reluctant to shoot his old, dying dog because he fears being left alone. And finally Curley's wife is always talking and flirting with the workers because she is tired of always sitting in the house by herself while Curley is working or out.
