There is one big volcano, one big mountain and two other small mountains. The boundary type that created the mountains and the volcano is called a convergent boundary also known as the reverse fault. In earth quakes there is a P wave and a S wave. friction and then creats rumbling on the surface of the island. The S wave known as the secondary wave hence the name and it moves from side two side and it can not move through any kind of liquid. But when big earth quakes happen it does effect the people and the industry because it stops the production of mining Emeralds, Jade and Diamonds. The surface wave is the wave in which all the damage happens. The way to measure these earth quakes takes different machines, one is called the Richter scale which measures the intensity of the earth quake, the second device used in measuring earth quakes is the Mercalli which measures the magnitude of the earth quake and when u put those together you get Moment Magnitude. The P wave moves back anf forth and can go through land and water and the P wave is the first one. When earth quakes happen and volcanos erupt it does'nt really matter because there is only a litle city on Phamilton Island so it really does not matter at all. So after the transform boundary creats friction and the earth quake happens that helps the volcano erupt, the reason is that when the earth quake happens it shakes up magma and the volcano erupts. When both of those waves hit the surface it then becomes a surface wave.
