hOW VETERANS MADE AMERICA FREE
Veterans set America free by fighting for what they believed. Our fore fathers paid the price, because they wanted something bad enough they were willing to go to war for it - that is how our veterans set America free. If you were in their place, would you do the right thing and fight for something you believed in? So in the words of John F. Kennedy, "Don't ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." If someone is willing to die for his country then that man deserves to be thanked & honored for what he did. On June 6, 1944, 150,000 men landed on the beaches of France, sad to say that many of them would never return h
So for those people who gave their lives for my freedom, I want to say thank you for what you did - for fighting for what they so strongly believed. Veterans made America free for you and me. Those of them who fought to free the slaves were making America free for everyone. If people were willing to give up their lives for something they believed in that bad, it must have been worth fighting for. There have been many wars in the history of the United States of America. The North were fighting to free the slaves, because every one deserves the right to be free. In November of 1775, fighting broke out in America. Even if they were fighting for the South at the time, they were fighting for something they believed in. It is so amazing to me that our veterans were willing to do something so great as to risk their lives for their families and for themselves. Some I will never forget are the ones that made a real difference in the lives of Americans, like the Revolutionary War, Vietnam War, Civil War, World War I and World War II. We stood up for what we believed in, and that is how America won its freedom. ome to their families, but what they were fighting for was worth it. "The weak do what they must, the strong do what they will". We should take the time to honor the people who were fighting to make our world a better place for you and me, and even the children of our future.
