The Legend of the Fall

             As I awoke, all I say was two giant hands moving in the direction of my throat. I immediately resisted, trying to somehow deflect those hands from clutching on to my neck. My vision was somewhat blurred and I was very confused. I tried to sit up but someone seemed to be holding my legs down.
             I was asked to remain calm and to hold as still as possible. As my vision became more focused, I could see a large number of people standing around the area where I was laying. "Can you move your fingers ... your toes," a voice asked. I did my best to oblige the voice, although I had no clue whether I had accomplished the feat asked of me. The people in the background slowly became clearer and I realized these people were my friends. Once again the voice spoke. "We're going to lift you up now and transport you to the ambulance," the voice said.
             With my whole body restrained, I was forced to look straight up. With my restored vision and my head regaining sense, I observed the probable reason I was where I was. A hole measuring about three feet by three feet. In an instant it all came back to me. I had been working at a Haunted House for Halloween for the Communication Club, and I had been jumping through this hole. I had been perched on a ladder which was laying parallel across a bi-level staircase and I was jumping down and scaring people. I also remembered some other reasons I was in this predicament. The reasons were there was darkness, black tarp had been strung out everywhere making it hard to see, and the only was to see when people were coming was to grab a hold of a six inch railing and jump. Apparently, one time I missed my handhold.
             As I rode in the ambulance, many things crossed my mind. Had anybody called my parents or my fiancée, how long was I unconscious for, was anything broken and how many days of school could I miss for this. Once I arrived at the hospital, all of t
