Stress
Stress is a universal concept and issue which is and has been studied by many people. Most people have experienced stress in one form or another. Stress is a factor in most peoples' lives which can cause people to experience positive and negative results. This paper will focus on the negative impact that stress can bring into the lives of people. This paper will also document three ways in which stress impacts my life and how I plan to identify the cause, address the issues and overcome the negative affects the stress has on me. Stress is a very vague condition to identify, many scholars have studied it and come up with different categories to help classify what type of stress is being suffered. Stress may be chronic, for example, poverty or other difficult living conditions that are ongoing in one's life. Stress can also be transitory, an act such as a noise that bothers a person. Finally, stress can be highly individual, this can consist of a bad relationship with a significant other or someone you care about. These different types of stress may be different in nature and can cause different reactions but the basic root for them is the human affect that situations can cause people to react in a negative manner due to
Many times I feel angry and sad when my husband and I do not agree on certain things. Psychological Stressors are life events that are not caused by physical actions. I have now been in Bergen Community College for the last 3 years and am one semester away from completing my studies and becoming a nurse. My husband assured me that we would both be caring for the child together and that everything would be fine. I also try to avoid heavy discussions when we are both in a tense mood or have just finished a long day and are very tired. Some may view one person's stress as not serious as another's but the bottom line is the effect that stress can have on people. Stress of Parenting Becoming a mother 16 months ago may have been the most joyous and traumatic experience. Prior to the wedding, I suffered from many panic attacks in which I would shake and have trouble breathing. Examples of this are divorce, loss of employment, death of a loved one and extreme financial hardship. I realized that I was feeling anxious again about caring for my daughter by myself and realized that I must find a solution. These means can range from exposure to extreme heat or cold, hunger, infection and pain. I explained this to my husband and how worried it made me that I would not be able to succeed in school because of this. My father in law is now watching our daughter for one hour after I leave and my husband takes over when he arrives home from work. As soon as my daughter was born, I began to feel as if I had the weight of the world on my shoulders while being tired and in pain from giving birth. Since being married, new challenges have occured.
