Salem Witch Trials
In my personal opinion the Salem Witch Trials were a result of socio-economical treason. Yes the “witches” followed their own religion and did not follow God has the rest of them did. But the others did not dislike them because of that. They disliked them and persecuted them because they were different. The “witches” did not follow the normal rule of the times. “Witches” made up their own rules and did their own things. They also corrupted many other people who felt that they had been possessed but they never hurt them. For them that was their way of life, in their views it was the best way of life. In everybody else’s view it was a terrible way of life. People viewed “witches” has trash not so much because they were following another religion but because they weren’t acting exactly like they were.To be a “witch” back then was to be like a prostitute now. Everyone looks down on you, you are viewed has the bottom of the b . . .
You should feel sorry for them and try to help them. People back then remind me of Adolf Hitler. “Witches” were the devil himself, they were his minions that had to be stopped because if they weren’t they would change everybody. In conclusion yes there were religious differences and religious differences were a cause to people thinking “witches” were different but that was the only reason. People said it was because of religion and because of the spells and voodoo they did but it was because of change they were persecuted. If adults do it yes it is a little weird but they do it because they might be lonely, sad, or scared. Rid the earth of everyone who was different then them. Everyone back then was afraid of change. Just because they choose a different life then the same predictable life everyone else choose they were persecuted. But people back then had no feelings they not only humiliated them in front of the whole town and paraded them around has dogs but also killed them in a cruel and inhumane manor. Even though most “witches” did not go to church their were very few who did not want to make it seem like they were a witch so they went to church. It was society changes that killed “witches” back then. Imagine the number of people who would be killed in present time because they are different then the modern American family. If you were convicted or put to trial for suspicion of being a witch you were tortured in prison and then finally hung.
