And from www.dictionary.com, pain is defined as an unpleasant sensation occurring in varying degrees of severity as a consequence of injury, disease, or emotional disorder.But pain is more then unpleasant sensations. Pain is a system. Pain is a major part of your nervous system. Pain is ultimately a perception, and not a bodily state.Despite its unpleasantness, pain is a critical component of the body's defence system. It is part of a rapid warning and defence relay instructing the motor neurons of the central nervous system to minimize detected physical harm. In my speech, I will be discussing biological pain and touching a bit on emotional pain, there are many more categories of pain such as mental pain and spiritual pain, but due to limiting time factor I would focus just on that. Then stepping back, I will look at why there is physical pain and how we should view pain. But I wish to highlight that physical pain involves emotional pain. However, emotional pain need not necessarily bring physical pain.
