We decorate our dishes in order to make the food stands out more. For example I have to reheat the sauces, and soups. I have to cook pastas, check all the meats and prepare ingredients for what I need to make special platters. The lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and meats for the hoagies must be fresh, and properly cut. I learned how to cook and prepare different types of food, and also to be creative in the way to serve others. For example always there are new customers coming in to the restaurant with wich you interact and make more friends. Even though working in a restaurant is a nonstop job, and requires many responsibilities, it is also a great experience. When the phone rings I have to answer it to pick up orders, some people just walk in and place their orders to take out, I get many orders at the same time with a variety of different types of food. Most of our customers arrive at the same time, they sit and would look at the menus to place an order. I have to be a work an hour early prior to opening to prepare the food for the day.
