Deep within the criminal mind and psyche, there is physiological reasoning behind the actions the serial killer is compelled to commit. It is thought that eight to thirteen people die by the hand of a serial killer everyday. These people can be described as feeling entitled to their crimes they commit and have no remorse. An investigator will review the offender's record of crimes, crime scene photos, trial records, and many other documentations. Another common trait was to take a photo, make a tape, or stealing from the victim so that the he can re-live the fantasy. People have the greatest influence by society. Most people in prison will say that he or she is innocent and it is important to know the facts before asking these inmates questions. The serial killer plays with the investigator and is egocentric, manipulative, and tells a parole officer or a psychiatrist what he or she wants to hear. Serial killers are usually white males with above average intelligence, around twenty percent are female and forty to forty-five percent of female serial killers have male partners. A psychotic person suffers from a form of psychosis, a mental illness. A conscience finds it hard to grasp that a person could kill, general people find a serial killer as insane and as a monster. A serial killer has charm, lack of guilt, and may have criminal behavior. As adults their mind has been conditioned to associate their fantasies of violence with sexual gratification.
