sports Management

Today I am looking at how Diane, a fifth-grade teacher at Oneida Elementary, handles the different ethnic groups and socioeconomic statuses in her classroom. Oneida Elementary is located in the lower middle class section of the city. The school is over crowded, and there is very short time to spend with each child. Diane's classroom is built for twenty-five students but the school system packs thirty-one students into her tiny classroom. Diane seemed to be a very culturally responsive teacher. During her lesson on adjectives she called on twenty-one different stude

Gender diversity plays a large role among students at young ages. The case of gender diversity would look at how many times boys are called on compared to girls, or how well grades may compare according to gender. Teachers need to pay attention to who they call on and how they correct each student. Diane was doing her job by just being a teacher. Diane Smith during her lesson called on eleven boys and ten girls. Gender diversity is often over looked by many people as being a type of diversity. Ethnic diversity can cause much trouble around the world especially in the school systems. The case that she may be discriminating between boys or girls could not even be disputed in this classroom. With sixteen of her thirty-one students Diane has no room for error in calling on students from different backgrounds. Diane did not have any favorites amongst boys or girls. This particular fifth-grade classroom divided almost perfect between boys and girls, with boys having the one extra number. These students are from backgrounds like: Bosnia, Irish, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, Black, and White students. Diane's fifth-grade class shows the widest range of students a teacher would like to have in his/her classroom.
