Changing Characters (Gatsby)

Some peoples lives are prosaic, until they make a contemporary change. In the Great Gatsby, three round characters changed. Maybe the changes in these three characters were not very pristine; but they were in some little way. The structure, cadence, and style were intrinsic. Jay Gatsby or James Gatz as previously known was a round character who changed but then again did not. Gastby partially changed his life style for Daisy. He wanted her back in his life and he wanted her to be happy. He couldn't change though could he? He created the life style he lived. It was his dream world. Daisy was unfortunately pulled into Gatsby's dream world. His new money compared to her old money. He also couldn't change his love for her. The cadence in the writing of this book was very undulated. It was so undulated that you had to read Gatsby's character description a few times. "He smiled understandingly much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, which you may come across four or five times in life.

Tom was not a round character like Daisy. That is when he wanted to go and live with his parents again. Fitzgerald made Gatsby a very urbane man. His morals were shown throughout the story. Most of the changes that she made did not have punctilious planning. But yet one would think if he had all this money then why wouldn't he be. Daisy had more money and more material things than she could handle. She only knew that she had a few problems that she needed to take care of. Daisy had no idea who she wanted to be with. Nick the veritable character in this story, had his own beliefs. Fitzgerald was a wonderful and androit writer. Fitzgerald wrote this book in boxes. Well Scott Fitzgerald, already had a few characters picked out for the roles of the supercilious snob.
