Violence in Video Games, Movies, and Music

             Violence in video games, movies, and music should not be blamed at all for violence in society. This category of entertainment does sometimes the total opposite and allows us to vent some of the built up anger we have that leads to violence. In fact, I would say it is the parent's fault for raising a violent child and their lack of good parenting skills. The fact that people use video game, movies, and music as a reason for causing young children to become violent is just a scapegoat or a cover-up for the real reason, which is poor parenting.
             It enrages me when people tell me video games cause violence. In video games, it is sometimes possible to be a violent character and hurt others, and people think blindly that this makes the people who play them more violent. Also, if someone is mad or upset, playing such a game might vent out their anger and then they would no longer be mad or upset enough to take it out on someone else. There are some games that are quite violent though and that is why there are ratings on games. Those rating are put there for a reason and that is to protect younger children from realistic situations, violence, and gore. If parents don't monitor the games their child is playing it is then only the parent's fault.
             The same goes for movies. Usually when you watch a movie you see someone die or get killed. Of course, this is usually seen in PG-13 movies and R rated movies. If you think about it; how much do people actually get away with killing in movies? The villains usually die or get apprehended. Movies are rated for the good of society and if the parents allow their children to watch these then it is their own fault for exposing them to it.
             Music is just that, music, and nothing more. It doesn't cause a person to become violent. It is just a fact that most people listen to the music they prefer or can relate to. The ones who listen to alternative rock or any other music of that sort are the kind who ca...
