Puritans
The Puritans developed an ideal that could be attainedby working and following what the bible. The modern AmericanDream is always stereotyped by money, power, and happiness. Thegoal that the Puritans made for today's society's American Dreammight be a huge house with a white picket fence. What thePuritans did not know is that things changed, and the people oftoday do not care about what people think or say about them. The Puritans had a set way of life for our American Dream bykeeping faith, working hard, and having no failures which theytried everyday to achieve. For example, the Puritans would onlysee things from one point of view, which is "the chosen one." Inthe Puritans day, if someone did not like someone no one elsewill, unless they were related. The Pu
If the world today was under the rules andregulations that the Puritans had, then today's society mighthave a small population because people will be accused of being awitch. Today society hassome of the same goals that the Puritans had, which have beenpassed down. Peopleof today's society that do not strive for their excellence end upwith barley anything. They'll do anything to get out of work, and stillstrive by any means to try to have American Dream. The Puritans lived their day to day life by the rules andregulations that are set for them so they will not get theassumption that they were going to hell. In addition, the Puritans can not failbecause they had to follow the rules and regulations that weremade for them. Forexample, people today fight, lose patience, and steal for theAmerican Dream, but if today's society worked hard then they'dhave what they want. They followed rules andregulations so they'd not live life with suffering and misery. In addition, what today's society has learned from the Puritans is to strivefor excellence, work hard, and have no failures. Also, the Puritans made no mistakes. This was so theymight not go to hell, have suffering, or be accused of being awitch. They live life with suffering and miserylike how the Puritans, if they did not follow the rules andregulations that were set for them. ritans constantly had tokeep up their status in life to be with the chosen, and nofailures were accepted. Today's Society is nothing like the American Dream that thePuritans set, for themselves, and today's society to have. Therefore, this is not aperfect world like the Puritans wanted it to be, but some oftoday's society tries.
