             During the life span of a person there are numerous "turning points" some more significant then others. This one happened to me during the summer of 1977, I was in Puerto Rico with my mother and my two siblings. We were there on vacation for two weeks. We didn't stay in any hotel because we were staying with my maternal grandparents. I lived with them until the age of six and then I came back to New York, to live with my mother and my stepfather. It didn't take me long to adapt to the big city life. A couple of month later we move to the Bronx, about two miles from Yankee Stadium.
             My mother and stepfather argued all of times and at all hours of the night. I was already so use to it that I was able to block my mind and be able to sleep thru it. Mentally I was able to build a natural defense shield around me. In order to deflect all that is harmful to me. At time when I got home from school my mother would leave the house. She left me alone, to take care of two infants and to fend for myself. I was in grade school and I was taking on the responsibility and safety of two infants. I did the best that I could they ate, got cleaned and never got hurt. I was still innocent to life, and I didn't know what was going on with my mother.
             Why was she so angry every time she was at home and at time she was incoherent? She will spend all day sleeping and then at night when she came back from the street she was electrified.
