Our society today is so focused on making technological advancements that they don't notice the changes that are happening around them. Everyone is hooked up to the net, people are watching their televisions, and people's kids are playing video games. Society is being consumed by an electronic time thief. This monster is getting bigger as technology feeds it the fuel it needs to consume what is priceless and valuable to everyone. With more technological advancements being discovered and invented, everyone is able to live an easier and more luxurious life. You can, with the net, have conferences with co-workers while in your bed with your lap top, you can shop on television, and books have been integrated into video games making books for kids fun. The twenty- first century looks bright as technology carries it in the future, however this could change if everyone abuses the new technology. It could change their lives and the way they function as people. When you abuse the internet, television, and entertainment like video games, they can easily turn into an addictive drug that will consume your life inside out. Technology can be a benefit to mankind or it can become an electronic time thief and can steal and consume your life. It all depends on how you use the resources of technology and your own personal time.
