Blood brothers

'Blood brothers' was written by W. Russell in 1982 and is set in the 60's and 70's Liverpool.
Blood brothers is a musical play about twin brothers who are separated at birth. Mickey stays with his poverty stricken mother whilst Eddie is sold to a wealthy, middle class woman. In the play coincidences bring the twins back together.
Willy Russell uses the play to show how class affects peoples' life chances.              Mickey's accent shows that he was brought up in a poorer area compared to Edwards. E.g. whereas Eddie says "mum", Mickey says "mam".
Mickey is presented to the audience as sad and lonely without without Eddie, this shows that Eddie is like a part of Mickey and Mickey's life and that Micke
