Many times, it is how you say something rather than what you say that can cause added distress. " The new generatin is morelogical and doesnot accept the dominance of the older generation. It can be traced that this gap is solely because of lack or breakdown of communication process. A sensitivity to both nonverbal and verbal messages is necessary for effective communication. Without saying a word, we communicate through body language, gestures, mannerisms, and facial expressions. There are many ways to communicate other than verbal communication. While parents claim to decide everything in the best interest of their children. We have heard or perhaps said it ourselves: "I just can't communicate with you," "We're just not communicating," or "We're just not on the same wavelength. That leaves 65 to 70 percent to be carried by the nonverbal portion. t that what we are learning in college will be taught to school students. We each live in our own unique world.
