faerie queene

In this paper I'm going to compare the physical structure of the House Of Holiness versus the allegorical significance of the House Of Holiness, the people that live in the House Of Holiness, and important objects in it. The House Of Holiness in my opinion is a castle that is really a church because in it you can purify your soul from sins you committed and become a true Christian. First I'm going to talk about the women that live there. The first person RCK and Una meet is Caelia. Caelia is the mother of the three other women that live there and is the Lady of The House Of Holiness. Caelia in my opinion represents purity because her name means heavenly and that is probably why she is the Lady of The House Of Holiness. One of the daughters of Caelia is Fidelia and she represents faith. The second daughter of Caelia is Speranza representing Hope. The last of the daughters is Charissa representing charity. All three of these women have very important significance in The House of Holiness because if you want to be a pure Christian you need faith, hope, and charity. An important object that Fidelia uses in this story is a gold cup with a serpent designed on it. This cup was filled with water and wine which

This object shows that Fidelia definetly is the reprensentation of faith. This object also makes you see that Charissa is still a great representation for charity and did nothing wrong to affect it. Then he Rck finally goes to the last guy Repentance who heals him and cleans RCK' s wounds. When RCK comes out of the dungeon he is finally free of sins and is a Christian and can finally be back with Una again. All of these miracles occurred in the Bible and are miracles of faith. This is another example of what symbolization these women represent. Now I'm going to talk about places in the House Of Holiness and some more people as I come across them in the places I'm going to talk about. The kids also seemed very happy while playing sports and doing all kinds of kid's stuff. In the dinning is were we meet a doctor named Patience and performs rare medicine. I also think Edmund Spenser did great in writing this epic poem because you used a lot of imagination to create his own little world with people that are completely different from one to another. Her pregnancy is a symbol of charity because in a way you give charity when you take care of someone other than yourself. All three of those guys in the dungeon are all allegories for things you have to go through in the Christian religion to get purified and be free from sins. In the House Of Holiness the dungeon is located at the very bottom of the place. The Dungeon is a room where they torture people and is very dark and eerie. Charity back then was often depicted pictorially as a mother with many children.
