Peter Gibbons (Livingston) is a computer software programmer who hates his job and his bosses. One of his Bosses is Bill Lumberg (Gary Cole), who is mean but acts very mellow when he acts mean. Peter's girlfriend (Alexandra Wentworth) talks him into seeing an "occupational hypnotist" in the hope that through hypnosis he could be happier with his job. Tom Smykowski (Richard Riehle) a co-worker of Peter is very paranoid about being fired and never stops talking about the fact that he is going to get canned. This movie highlights all of the small annoying things of the working life, from traffic jams to touchy office equipment. I would give the movie a 4 out of 10, just because It was funny and kept me entertained for a while. rs all and knows all about Peter's life, since he can hear everything through the wall that separates their apartments. People will find this movie somewhat funny because they can relate to the characters and situations in some way or another. He still doesn't like his job, but at least now he doesn't care about keeping his job. After his interview, Peter speaks with his friends from work, Samir (Ajay Naidu) who absolutely hates the fact that no one can pronounce his last name and Michael (David Herman) who hates his last name, which is Bolton because it refers to the singer "Michael Bolton" and they warn him that he'll lose his job if he doesn't get his act together soon. Each employee is interviewed about his or her position and from those interviews and other information, these "efficiency experts" will decide which positions should be eliminated. When Peter's turn for an interview arrives, he's very care-free about the whole thing. The acting is not bad, the film making is not bad either, and the plot is awful. "Office Space" is a movie that anyone can appreciate and is directed by Mike Judge also the creator of "King Of The Hill" and "Beavis and Butthead" . Although the plot sucks, this movie is worth seeing just for the humor. The company Peter's working for is currently being evaluated by "efficiency experts". Soon, he thinks up a plan and with the help of Samir and Michael, he can make the three of them rich while at the same time getting even with the corporation they all hate so much.
