Vocal jazz Concert
ac?The latest concert that I attended was the Vocal Jazz. It was held on December 6th, 2003 in the Mt.San.Antonio college auditorium. This was my first time attending a Jazz concert. Therefore, I didnft know what kind of music to expect or any music that I was familiar to. This concert was a new experience for me. It was far different from a rock concert held in some big venue. The purpose of this concert was to give people a taste of the Vocal Jazz. The heritage or the background of this concert was strictly Jazz music. I was excited about my attendance at this concert. It would be the first time I was going to a Jazz concert. I knew that I wouldnft be disappointed or get board there. The music they played was not the kind that makes you dose off. This concert had a good effect on me. Some were a little shorter about five to six minutes in length and a couple songs were a little over ten minutes. None of the audience members seemed to be board at their presence at this concert. None of the performers were in jeans from what I observed. Itfs not to slow where you are at the point of falling asleep. Bethany Van Hofwegan I believe excelled when she had to make a deep voice for some of the songs because it was very clear and went well with the flow of the song. Some of them were wearing a full suit. There were more empty seats than filled ones. complex course of events from the creations of the sound to the mind processing the sound, even the deaf can enjoy music. There werenft too many people at this concert. Another good aspect about the gesture of the Ensemble was that they were well prepared. During the middle of a song the composer would make a half turn to the left and start clapping his hands. Every song was around ten minutes long.
