cats and dogs
Pets are great companions to play with, go for walks with, talk to, and love. They are best friends to live our lives with. I have had several cats and dogs as my best buddies, and unique family members. To have a successful relationship with a pet requires some attention and consideration that many people do not realize. I have learned that cats and dogs have different needs for care, and love. My husband, Buddy, brought home a puppy, that he told me was a Danely breed, fifteen years ago. He played a cute trick on me. He knew that I would never want a giant horse of a dog in the house, so he lied, made up the name Danely, and told me not to worry, as a Danely is a miniature of the Great Dane breed. This Danely would not weigh over twenty pounds full grown, and would barely grow to the height of my knee. I believed his story, fell in love with this tiny black puppy that fit in my hands, and agreed to keep this Danely. We named him Junior, because he was so tiny, and cute. Junior grew, and grew, and grew some more. He grew into the giant horse of a dog that I feared. And his name seemed totally silly, but we liked it. Of course, by this time we were hooked, regardles
He somehow knows when the milk is open, because he comes immediately, and meows until he gets a lick. Junior demanded more of our attention, cleaning up after him, constantly feeding him, holding him, playing with him, talking to him, praising him. We also gave him large milkbone biscuits constantly, which he would take in his huge jaws, crunch a few times, and swallow. We also thought we would be able to keep our home in better condition, and get better sleep, since cats are smaller. He loved to chase anything just out of curiosity. He couldn't decide if he wanted to play with it, or stop choking on it. Arnie was given to us by our veterinarian, Dr. Other than that he is not interested in any other food. He could not have possibly known how huge he was, because he always wanted to sit right on top of us. s of how large he had become, and we just dealt with the challenge. Arnie was a tiny, playful kitten when I first brought him home. We loved Junior dearly, we have years of memories to treasure, but life with Arnie is easy street. He would stretch his head all the way down, and under the sink faucet to see the next tiny drip, and try to swat it with his paw. However, they were his very favorite treat, and for Christmas, we stuffed a large bag of biscuits into a big stocking for him. Other times, his tail would crack against the sharp corner of a doorway, as he followed us around the house, his tail split open spattering blood, everywhere he followed us.
